Service medals for Harris fire crew

From the Harris Fire Team: A Western Isles Scottish Fire and Rescue Awards Ceremony was held at Stornoway Community Fire Station and District Offices on Tuesday, 19 May, bringing together colleagues, families and guests to celebrate the dedication and achievements of members of staff from across the Western Isles.

During the ceremony, three personnel from Harris Fire Stations received acknowledgments of their commitment to the community as serving on call firefighters over the years.


FF Stephen Passmore, Crew Commander Murdo F Macleod and Crew Commander Steven Brown were presented with their Long Service and Good Conduct Medals, Steven Brown was also presented with a Retirement Tally and Certificate.

The medals and clasp were presented by the Lord Lieutenant, Iain Macaulay, while DACO Ian McMeekin presented the certificates. LSO Robert Lennox hosted the evening, with DACO McMeekin welcoming guests and Board Chair Mhairi Wylie delivering a heartfelt closing address on behalf of the Board.
