Do you know of a community project which helps to improve the mental health and wellbeing of local people in the Western Isles? If so, it could be eligible for funding through the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, which is now open for its sixth year.
The fund’s key priorities include:
-Addressing mental health inequalities with ‘at risk’ groups
-Tackling social isolation, loneliness, suicide prevention and poverty and inequality, with a focus on responding to the cost-of-living crisis.
-Supporting small grassroots community groups and organisations in delivering activities.
-Fostering connections, building trusted relationships, and revitalising communities.
To ensure projects are eligible, all potential applicants must have an initial discussion with an officer from one of the Third Sector Interface Partners, or the fund administrator, before an application form can be issued. Harris Voluntary
Service is the partner for Harris.
If you would like to know more about the fund, please come along to the drop in session on September 23 at the Old Primary School, or contact manager@harrisvs.org.uk to arrange an alternative appointment.
